Swimming

Ok, Nicole, you,ve been swimming since you were 4. Some of you guys have swum for like 2,3,4,5 years. I've been swimming since I was 6................................months old. My uncle took me swimming and my dad brought me for swimming classes for babies. And like Nicole, I'm STILL STUCK! I've been doing gold for like, 2 yrs, and I have not progressed!

I am the fastest on the team. Well, not that fast but sttill the fastest. I love freestyle, I'm quite good at it. When we have to do sprinting (swim as felt fast as you can until you reach the other side, then swim breastroke back to the opposite side), I'm always first.

Well, freestyle almost killed me too. We had to do timing, and we did not do much warm up and I kept turning my head too fast so I could not breathe, my oxygen level was low, really low so I felt like fainting. I got out of the pool, felt like throwing up then I was asked to drink plenty of water.

My brother got in! That's news! I'm so proud of him! I hope he would benefit from it though. Unlike Rishi. The day we were supposed to go for a dental talk, it was our MT period so I moved my table next to Jing Ying and Sofia. Then, I was going back to class when Rishi stopped me and asked me to move my table back. Then I explained to him that after the dental talk would probably be chinese so if I move it back I would have to move it again. Rishi didn't understand. So I explained again. And again. And again. About 5 times after that I was like "This is idiotic. I hope my brother would not become an idiot here." I was mummuring to myself, then Rishi thought I was refering to 5K and 5L as idiots because he did not hear me properly. So now almost all of then hate me. All because of a misunderstanding.

No, seriously, I really cannot concentrate during English and everybody is switching seats. Even Xavier moved his table next to Clement.

Well, Group 6 has come up with 1 way to kill time...... the magnificent DICTIONARY. Ok, maybe not the WHOLE of Group 6. Pei Ying, Jason, Samuel and I try and fing the meaning of the words closest to our names. Samuel is a Hebrew prophet, Jason is the owner of the Argo.

We typed in Rasha for Ms Resha and found rasher.

Rasher: A thin slice of bacon.

Try not to laugh when you imagine a thin slice of bacon boring us to tears.

3rd time on the telly

Hi guys, something really exciting happened in school today. I was staying back to take over Allyson for the Kindness Week thingy as she had something on. I was in the library when Olivia said the "God of Gamblers" from The Ultimatum (Chn 8, 9 pm last time) was here. So I ran all the way to the place where they were and they wanted kids to act so I said yes and so did Juin Khai. It took us 1hr to shoot a 2 sec scene.

When I went back, the people involved in the kindness week thingy asked me what happened cand I said we just crossed the road ( The "God of Gamblers" person was a traffic police). Then I asked Samuel whether he wanted to join and he said when and I said during Math. He said " I think that is better than math"

I don't know much about acting, but the people went "CUT! ACTION! Rolling, standby, ACTION!" it was quite confusing, and the traffic got really bad, and it was so hot, but fun. We crossed the road many times, heard CUT ! and ACTION! many times, but I enjoyed it.

Well, as I have said, this is my 3rd time on TV. Here're are the other two:

1st:

I think i was only three, maybe four. They got three kids ( I think) and I was the last.

Well, it is something like this(estimated):

2nd time (2004)

I went for this audition that my chinese tuition centre had picked me for, and I got into this competition. I was supposed to make breakfast for my brother, and before that I had to go through the rules with my grandmother. My grandmother told me to crack an egg, fry it, make bread and milk for my brother.

Egg:

10 minutes into the contest and I still could not crack the egg. When I finally cracked it, half the egg spilled out of the pan. There was a teeny egg shell in the pan, but I was desperate, so I just fried it. The result: A watery un-fried egg, with teeny piece of shell in it. Remember, I was only 6.

Milk:

I had not drunk full cream milk before, so when I put three scoops in the cup it tasted horrible, and when I added another two scoops and it tasted even worse. I just left it the way it was and made the bread.

Bread:

It was the easiest part of the contest. There was jam, butter, chocolate spread, banana spread, cheese spread, peanut butter......

My brother, being greedy, said " I want this, this, this, this......

Feeding:

Yes, I had to feed my brother. My brother did not enjoy eggs, so I was pretty nervous about the feeding. The shell in the egg missed his mouth, and dirtied the apron he was wearing. He ate the egg without complains.

He had never drunk full cream milk before, but he drank the whole cup.

He seemed to be too full to carry on, but halfway through the bread, the time was up. I was really hungry, so I started eating his bread. I remind you again, I was only 6.

Well, after that, WE WON!!!!! But the prize was a chess board that has not been touched since.

My brother also started eating eggs, after his first "delicios" one.

A night to remember

We left school at about 3.30pm. It was a really hot day, and I was running around before we left. My Fun Pack was green, with a blue cover. I had pink initially, and Shimin looked really angry when she recieved hers, which was green. I remembered that her favourite colour was pink. I immediately rushed to her and she was so happy.

The first part of the show was mainly the introduction of the hosts ( I liked the Police and Thief man), introduction on Singapore, Singapore's History ... ...

It started raining a little, so we put on our ponchos. And then, the rain stopped.

A little while later, it started raining a little, so we put on our ponchos again.

And then Lee Hsien loong said that it rained in 1968, and a little while later, it started raining a little again, and I did not bother to put on my poncho and......

Got soaked!

P.S I went for an X-Ray today. Doctor suspected some broken bones in my hand. =(

This is one of my favourite songs by Michael Jackson. He was still black then, and did not do as much plastic surgery. He was a really weird person though. He wore pyjama pants to court, had a private zoo in his house, and went for bleaching.

But he was a really talented person. He could write really nice songs, create his own dance moves, dance really well and sing really well.

He died a bankrupt, as he spent more than 20-30 million more than he earned. But now that he died, everyone is buying his albums and making him richer than ever. He has three children, two sons and one daughter. His daughter is about 11. My mom said that nibody grew up not being a fan of Michael Jackson. It was just how big a fan you are.

At that point of time,robbery was going on. Since the government is going to burn all the pounds in their country and was transporting it in a train and Damian was near a railway track, he thought the money was from god.

What really happened was that there was someone on the train who ould throw a bag of money off the train every time the train was going to stop. That was the only bag they did not retrieve, . and one man found out that Damian had it. That man was part of the robbery.

At school, a woman faked her identity as someone from charity that builds wells in Africa. Damian did not know that she was a fake, and donated a thousand dollars. His brother Anthony found out, and soon his Dad found out too. Anthony had been spending money too, so he was not kept in the dark. But dad was, and he got very angry. When he asked where they got so much money, and they said they stole it from the Mormons. The Mormons are next door neighbours and latter-day saints. Whe their dad asked them why, Anthony statrted crying [fake] and said......

"Our mum is dead."

In the end, Damian met his mum [vocation, you see her but she really isn't there] and asked her if she was a saint. She said she was. [ To become a saint, you have to perform miracles]. when Damian asked his mum what was her miricle, she said that it was him.

Hey guys. The debate went ok until the second knock out round. We went against Casuarina Primary. Guess who was there? It was the guy from Reunion Dinner channel 8 drama, the one that acted as the gambler's son. He spoke quite well. For the knock out round one, we went against Fairfeild and the best speaker came from that side. So, that round we won. So the moment Devika got best speaker I knew we lost. And we really lost. Well, we only lost by 2 points. 2 POINTS!!!! Can you believe that? The other group had style but no content. We have no style but we have content. Honestly we should not have lost. Our third speaker did not rebutt. But I do not blame him. At the end of the day, it is a team effort. There is another debate coming up and I hope I am in it. BYE!!!

Well, as Sofia said, i went to Samuel's birthday party with her. It was OK, except the part that I kept getting blasted and felt really really cold in the pool as the water was FREEZING. anyway, I was not surprised to get an invitation as in P3, we sat together for like 9 months. In P4, we sat together for like 6 months and now we're in the same class, have the same duty and were in the same P5 camp group. I find him okay, I think the teacher put me beside him because he would stop talking to the boys beside him. well, last year it kinda worked out because I was in between him and Darryl Leong. I thought it was going to be HELL because darryl Leong was quite naughty. But it was not that bad. Samuel and darryl kept calling my name at the same time when I tried to do my work. They told me alot of jokes and I ended up laughing half the lesson. Darryl got me into trouble once or twice, but the teacher scolded him more than she scolded me. Well, Samuel was register no.27 and that Mr Darryl Leong is no.28. And darryl LOVES to daydream, so whenever tthe tacher says 21-30 Samuel will go there and I would call Darryl until he arrives back from Lala-land.

P5 Camp

Hey Guys!

The P5 camp was great. We did abselling, high elements, rock climbing and lots of other stuff.

Abselling:

It was quite scary as I was afraid of heights. I think Samuel fell but its Ok. The teacher was also quite fierce and he kept shouting at me because i couldn't let go of the rope. In the end, I flipped upside down as the harness was too loose. I had to pull myself back up into a sitting position. I thought I was going to die. The funny thing is, Rayson found it so funny he slid all the way down!!!

Tyre swing:

It wasn't that tough when I first started but my hand was so sweaty I started to slip. But I manged to move on and did it. Quite fun!!

Tyre tunnel:

This one was the worst because the tall people could get stuck. Samuel actually tried to sabo me. He pushed each tyre to a different side so I was stuck. he evn sang the chicky dance song. So much for sitting next to him for 2 years in a row!!

The wall:

This was not so tough. I was spoter and people had to climb on my leg. When it came to my turn, I stepped hard on Samuel's leg and I think he screamed. When it was my turn, the people kept pushing me up instead of supporting me. Well the trainer was quite clever and put her hand under my shoe so I could push myself up.

Rock climbing:

It was quite easy until like halfway up my hands began to tremble. I manged to get down ok but Rayson Song was before me and Ernest could not push him up. I had to push him up together with Ernest and it was only when we could not reach him anymore that he began to pull himself up.

Nature hunt:

It was like 3/4 in an aircon room so I nearly fell asleep. I miss home! During the hunt itself I was going to collapse. When we were suppose to observe the antlions Rayson was the only one sitting there. He was asleep!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Outdoor cooking:

Was not that fun. we had to cook an egg in an orrange and banana in alluminium foil. And that doughnut was more like dough and was the size of a chinese full stop.

CAMPFIRE!!!!!

It was the most fun part of the whole entire camp and everyone was like screaming their head off when they said HENRY PARK OI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was one cheer where it was Henry Park Idol and Daryl Kow was in the monkey group and was the lead singer so he sang," Don't you wish your monkey was hot like me," so hilarious! Then at our cheer it was like the lamest because we had the Elmo song and that everywhere we go thing. Was not the lamest though.

Sleep:

First night:

Could not sleep. I kept having weird dreams that I can't remember and Jing Hua was moving her hands like a egyptian king dancing.[ I slept on the top bunk at the edge] One time her hand hit me in the face!!!

Second night:

This time, i slept very well. I fell asleep around 11.55pm and woke up at 6.03. Elizabeth woke me up and Jing hua was still sleeping. I do not know how she does that! Just sleep and sleep.

The moment I reached school i went to the canteen and had a drink. Then I killed time by just looking around and running to the third floor with my backpack. I got to the bus at 12.40 and slept like crazy. When i went home, my Grandma cooked magee noodle and it was the best thing I had ever tasted in my ENTIRE life cos I was so hungry.

I think that children in the 2000s are more stressed than the children in the 1960s. The childdren in the 1960s do not have so much tuition, homework, NAPFA (my mum told me that) and many more.
